History

NURSERY TRADERS commenced trading in the southern Brisbane suburb of Capalaba in 1983. For the first time in Australia a multi nursery market provided a centre for a network of growers and suppliers to display product available for immediate sale to the industry. Never before had retailers, exterior and interior landscapers, government departments, councils, and florists had the opportunity of personally selecting or sourcing from a single venue with such an extensive range of products. A new era in marketing of nursery products in Australia had commenced.

Located originally in what is now the distribution warehouse and central collection point for several specialist plant transport companies, the market continued to expand and it soon became evident that a new dedicated facility was required. After several years of planning NURSERY TRADERS relocated its operations on the existing site with the construction of a large purpose built complex, which was opened on the 20th July 1992. The new complex has subsequently grown to accommodate more suppliers giving clients an even larger selection of green life and associated products. On the 1st of August 1997 NURSERY TRADERS commenced trading at a new location with NURSERY TRADERS SUNCOAST opening to the north of Brisbane in Morayfield.

Today with markets at two locations featuring over one hundred and twenty participating standholders, a substantial active client base and a policy of continual improvement, NURSERY TRADERS continues to set the standards in wholesale nursery marketing through its unwavering commitment to quality, service and innovation.
